Your wedding day should be one of the most important and exciting days of your life. Whether you’re choosing your dream gown, bridesmaids’ dresses, invitations, or all three, having them custom made will make them unique according to your individual style, and help create the one of kind wedding you’ve always dreamed of! What is the difference between “made to measure”/“custom made” and our service “bespoke”?
While made to measure or custom made begin from altering and modifying the specific standard patterns, bespoke starts from creating new patterns based on each individual’s measurements. Yes, it means we Alis Fashion Design do everything from beginning to the end to bring you joy and the satisfaction of wearing exactly what you want.
Your wedding day starts with the perfect gown. The perfect gown itself, of course, starts with a private consultation with the designer. After hearing your ideas and ultimate vision for your one of a kind wedding dress from design, color to texture of fabrics, the bespoke dress designer Lana Gerimovich will draft designs that will complement your body and match your wedding style. Then, together we begin selecting haute couture designer fabric, trims and/or lace from our swatches (fabric samples) to ensure that the garment and the fabric work perfectly together. Quality fabrics make you very comfortable to wear; that’s why we only uses the top designer fabrics or haute couture fabrics.
When you are absolutely happy with the design, materials will be obtained and measurements will be taken. At your first fitting, Lana will present a muslin version of your gown, which will be adjusted and fitted to your liking. Because we make patterns based on your particular measurements, your dress will fit you properly with perfection (like gloves!), unlike mass-produced wedding dresses off the rack. Your gown slowly comes to life with additional fittings scheduled as needed.
Finally, the day of the final fitting will soon arrive. On that day, the gown will be complete with full trimming and any last adjustments will be made — at last, your dream gown will come true!
Basic wedding gowns estimate begin at $1,600, plus fabric and labor. The cost of our bridal service can vary widely depending on complexity of style, design, details and fabric selection. Four to six month’s notice is usually required to take time for custom order. Please keep in mind that it requires two to four fittings depending on complexity of the dress during the process of creating your bespoke dress.
